OUR SCHOOL
Our school was opened in Ankara-Çankaya in 2007, it is a public institution that provides high school education with 27 classrooms, 850 students, 55 teachers, 3 administrators and 5 staff, our school also offers courses in the academic field, as well as Theater, Sports, Music, Chess, Mathematics, Science Culture and Literature, Journalism, First aid, TUBITAK. Social clubs such as the EU club and PTA activities are carried out with MUN. In addition to these, 40KAL Youth Group has been established for our ERASMUS + projects. In addition, our school has successfully completed many ERASMUS, e-Twinning, MUN and TUBITAK projects since 2011 and still continues to do so.
Our key objectives are as follows:
*to provide young people with various non-formal educational activities, to involve young people in local, regional, national and international level activities which include non – formal learning and where they might acquire or increase their knowledge, skills and attitudes on many different topics, such as cultural diversity, EU awareness, environment, volunteerism, art, culture, sport, health, rural development, anti – discrimination, gender equality, diversity of religions, inclusion in society minorities and disabled people, human rights, outdoor activities, etc.
* to provide young people with opportunities to participate in trainings and seminars to become youth workers, trainers and facilitators for creation of more qualitative non – formal educational activities for young people
* to popularize green thinking among young people
* to encourage young people to be an active part of EU level activities
* to popularize volunteerism among young people
* to involve young people with any kind of fewer opportunities in all our activities
Our school which is in cooperation with many official and private institutes, is a non- profit official organization that is set up with participants of youngs with limited facilities in all aspescts.
Projects we have done and will do;.
* Provides the youngs to participate in the projects actively.
* Supports the youngs’ supplement to the society they live in.
* Mediates the youngs with limited facilities and disadvantaged to combine and take responsibilties..
* It maintains to supply equality and to cut out the social and economical obstacles within the youngs, physical disabilities ,cultural differences and educational adversities.
To sum up ,our projects also overlaps with the facts of the main objectives of the youth programs´ by maintaining active participation of youngs with limited facilites at education, seminars, youth camps music, art/photography, sports, culture, outside activities and the activities done with the youngs coming from foreign countries and the cultural shopping among the youth in different places, and by improving the entrepreneurship, cooperation, and the feelings of tolerance to improve their harmony and social inclusion.
